Take One, Add One

Product Details

Love, Care, Happiness, Health, Laughter Family, Comfort, Independence, Leisure Time, Family Time, Me Time, Good Memories, Friends, and  Hugs.

There must be so many more things that we would want in our lives.  I can only think of a few. I wish everyone all of the above and so much more.

In one of the local schools here in Orange County NY, in the teachers lounge, there is a bulletin board with post-it notes. Each note has words of comfort written on them. There is a sign that says, " Take what you need, give what you can. " I thought that was a good idea.

We all have good days and bad days(even Mother's Day can be sad for some of us) so if there is a free word of comfort on a bulletin board that can get our minds off of our troubles even for a few minutes, it is helpful. Also if you can take a post-it note and write a comforting word and leave it on the bulletin board, someone can find it comforting. When I see things like that bulletin board, I think that the world is still a very good place and there are caring people around us.

Happy Mothers day, everyone.

Dear Munir, so wonderful to find a posting from you today. I tend to get caught up with politics and become somewhat pessimistic, but when I read postings like yours, I realize anew just how caring and thoughtful we can be in our best moments. Thank you for reminding me. Peace.

Hi Munir - wonderful idea ... such fun - and so appropriate - there's always times we need support, but most importantly love and kindness ... I hope you had a blessed weekend. Our Mother's Day was the fourth Sunday in Lent ... cheers Hilary

Dearest Munir,
The world in general is no doubt a place filled with warmth and LOVE.
If only the media would focus more on the good of humanity instead of magnifying all the evil and bad.
Yes, there always is a little comfort for others on a difficult day like Mother's Day.
Personally I don't like the over-commercialized idea of Mother's Day and even Christmas Day. Like so many other holidays they only emphasize on the commercial aspect and not on the Heart! That is far more important and should live inside of us for every single day.
I sure do miss my Mom but that is in general and I also know that one day we will meet again and it gives comfort knowing she is right beside me without having to suffer anymore...
Big hugs to you,
Mariette

I think there are more good folks out there than we know about because the media like to focus on the bad to sell papers. But having wonderful bloggers like you to remind us of happy things is one of the many reasons I enjoy blogging. Hope your day is great!

A very happy belated Mother's Day to you, Munir. As for me, Mother's Day was a sadder than normal occasion. I'm glad it's over. My mom passed away in December, and I didn't expect to have so many feelings on Mother's Day. I guess now I know better.

That is a nice idea. Here, people are painting rocks and put encouraging words on them.. Then they hide the rocks in public places to be found and uplift someone's day.
