Compassion Charms

This week has been very exciting for me. The project that my daughter has been working on is now completed. Well, it still depends on a lot of people and their outlook about helping people in general.

For a long time, she had been thinking about helping people understand that mental illness is nothing to be embarrassed about. As a matter of fact, it is good to show solidarity towards people who suffer from Depression and Anxiety.  It will be really nice if school counselors could understand the need of today's children when it comes to behavioral problems. There are some schools that have resources for helping children but children need more than counselors to understand what is going on in their minds. It will be nice if children understand from a younger age that human beings have to be nice to each other. We as society have a responsibility to give a message to the future generation that kindness and caring can help people .
If everyone understands from a young age that not all of us are made the same way and if depressed people are not left to be lonely we can save the future generation from having to suffer the emotional setbacks that hinder them from being productive.

It's easy to be discouraged by all the bad in the world. Your daughter's project with hopefully put more good into our society and enlighten many to do good. Kindness leads the way to compassion, empathy, true caring and one of the best ways to help others...service. Losing ourselves in service can brighten our day as well as others.

Dearest Munir,
Those charms are one aspect but indeed from a very young age children have to be taught right about kindness towards others and acceptance.
Nowadays there is so much hatred and forming of different 'blocks/groups' of people. That is not solving anything!
Wishing your daughter good luck on raising awareness for this.
Hugs,
Mariette

You've obviously done something "right" to have a daughter with so much compassion. It's shameful to still see so much hatred in the world, so promoting understanding and empathy is more important than ever. Good for your daughter, and good for you. :)

Very cool! Wishing your daughter every possible success with this worthwhile project.

Hi Munir,

Such a thoughtful post. As an advocate of eradicating the unfair stigma that is attached to mental health concerns, this is a most poignant post.

I shall check out your daughter's website.

I choose to live with rather than suffer from my mental illness. My illness, not a curse, an ironic blessing that's humbled and inspired me.

In peace and hope,

Gary

Dear Munir, I so admire and appreciate your daughter and her work/project. Contentment with self/inner peace is born out of love and kindness expresses that love. As you say so well, the time to learn that is when we are young and life seems so strange to us with its messages and its conundrums. Peace.

You must be very proud. I'm so glad to learn that your daughter is starting this - children need to learn and build compassion. All power to her, and I'm going to visit her site.
Thank you, Munir.
Have a great weekend.

Hello, Munir! I was so glad to read your comment on my blog. I hope you are doing well.

This is a good blog post. My pinned tweet on Twitter links to a blogpost that my daughter wrote about depression. Initially, she was diagnosed with depression, then later, with bipolar disorder.

You are so right. The stigma needs to end. We all need to show compassion. No one asks to be sick. None of us ask for cancer or any other disease. Mental illness is no different.

A big hug to you! ~Teresa

I hope everyone is doing well, I have some news to share today.... In the next week I am moving to NOLA and hoping this new journey will put me back into the attitude that change is good. So much to do and not enough time to do it. I am so thankful for all the wonderful people in my life (including Pedro Jerome) a loan lender that support me at all times I am excited and also worried my life has been such a downer for so long that getting out of it has been hard, but I do really feel that this change is going to be the best thing I need right now, and I have hopes that all good things do come to those that wait.
I'm thanking a loan lender who helped me with a loan of 1 millions dollars to boost up my business once again at the rate of 2% annual return which is so wonderful, and I would like anyone stuck in financial situation to reach out to Pedro the loan lender on pedroloanss@gmail.com WhatsApp: +393510140339. For loan assistance.
So please keep me in your thoughts, and thanks to this blog I can at least keep in contact with all of you.
